About me

Hello and welcome to my blog.

If you’ve never visited this site before then let me introduce myself.  My name is Jack Booth.  I’m a 19 year old currently on a gap year before I go to study Marine Biology at the University of Southampton next year.

As I am writing this I am preparing to depart on a month long adventure trip to Thailand, where I will be participating in culture trips to temples, deep jungle treks, spending a week working with elephants in a fantastic conservation effort, and of course, lots of diving! My aim is to take all of you readers on this adventure with me so throughout the coming weeks I will be posting regular blog updates on what I have been doing and discovering in the hopes of inspiring others to travel and see what the world has to offer them – (and keep my familys’ minds at rest too!)

You’ll find out soon that I get quite excited for fish. I can’t help it. I’m a (soon to be) marine biologist so what do you expect? Lord help me next year when I get to study them day in day out, I’m going to drive people insane… That being said, if you have any ideas or suggestions as to what you’d like to hear about in the blog, or just want to hear from me and have a discussion, feel free to leave any comments on the posts or pages. I will read them all and try to do my best to respond or oblige to any recommendations. Of course, this blog is fairly new and over time it will  start to flesh out a bit more with more posts being added to the archive so if you have any feedback for me at all it would be greatly appreciated.

I look forward to hearing from you all soon and of course…

Go explore!

Jack
